Hunminjeongeum Cards in Color and Picture Color and design education, together with Hangul education These cards render the creation principles of Hunminjeongeum in refined design and beautiful color. The consonants, following the pictographic and stroke-addition principles based on the shapes of the speech organs, are drawn as a chrysanthemum (ㄱ), butterfly (ㄴ), plum blossom (ㅁ), lion (ㅅ), and carp (ㅇ), with backgrounds in the five traditional colors—blue, red, yellow, white, and black—marking each sound family. The vowels follow the "heaven-earth-human" principle, depicted as heaven (crane, sun, stars, clouds), earth (mountains, fields, trees, flowers, houses, roads), and human (neighbors living together). The set totals 54 cards—consonants, vowels, combined syllables, and final consonants (batchim)—color-coded by learning stage so you can use as many as you need.
