Spring is the seventh story in Jia and Coco’s Korean Language Journey, a Korean language picture-book series for young children and learners of Korean as a foreign language. Jia and her puppy, Coco, set out together to discover spring. Through twelve seasonal words and ten short sentences, readers gradually explore the sights and changes of the season: warm sunshine, gentle spring breezes, fresh green sprouts, softly falling spring rain, cherry blossoms and azaleas in full bloom, fluttering butterflies, buzzing bees, joyful picnics, and tending a vegetable garden. The book follows a three-step learning structure—Word Reading → Word Cards → Sentence Reading. With rhythmic, repetitive sentences and charming illustrations, it helps both young children and international learners enjoyably develop a natural feel for Korean while building essential seasonal vocabulary.
